+ MENU

Set where sea meets sand, this editorial draws from the natural textures and dynamic energy of the Pacific Northwest shoreline. This Cannon Beach elopement celebrates the contrast between wild coastal dunes and lush, vibrant florals found in the Pacific Northwest springtime. Leaning into that duality, it melds windswept softness with bold color, organic textures, and touchable details. It’s a love letter to the Oregon coast in spring: bright, alive, and quietly powerful.

THE VISION

The mood is earthy and grounded, yet laced with whimsy—lush green amaranthus, dramatic orchids, and soft, textural Queen Anne’s Lace directed both the floral and stationery vision. Every element, from paper to petals, feels like a little piece of the coast—unexpected, full of movement, and deeply rooted in place.

The florals are deliberately funky and full of character. Deep magentas, soft greens, and creamy whites play beautifully against the neutral sand and overcast skies, creating a palette that feels alive yet grounded.

INVITATIONS

The invitation suite embraces texture and touch. Every piece is printed on handmade, deckled-edge paper using debossed letterpress printing to create a deeply tactile experience. Green ink adds a fresh contrast to the coastal neutrals, and floral illustrations on each card echo the natural forms of seaweed and shoreline flora, reinforcing the organic feel.

Each suite is wrapped in a translucent vellum jacket featuring vintage orchid art, mirrored again in the envelope liner, and tied with a deep berry silk ribbon. Handmade paper envelopes are sealed with dusty mauve wax, stamped with a delicate orchid—bringing the botanical narrative full circle. Vintage postage ties everything together and adds a playful, personal touch, representing the seaside setting, lush botanicals, and vibrant color story.

The finished suite feels romantic and textural with a boldness that adds a modern edge. Nestled in the sand beside the bouquet, the invitation suite feels like a treasure waiting to be found.

DAY-OF PAPERIE

Vow books added a personal, heirloom-worthy touch—bound with bright green and magenta ribbons to match the suite, and finished with elegant blind embossing that caught the light with quiet sophistication.

The tablescape was designed to feel effortless and intimate—a seaside dinner after the ceremony. The menus are letterpress-printed on handmade paper with a cane backing, fastened with a brass grommet and finished with silk ribbon. The natural cane exudes quiet luxury and draws inspiration from organic textures of seagrass and sand, while the bright green ink and magenta ribbon tie everything back to the florals and invitations.

Each place setting features gauzy linens, golden flatware, and rattan chargers, creating a natural yet elegant moment to pause and dine by the sea.

With Cannon Beach as our canvas, we let the wind, sand, and sea set the pace. Natural light, salty air, and the romance of a bouquet dancing in the breeze. Whether you’re planning an elopement among the dunes or a coastal celebration full of color and life, let this be your reminder: elegance lives in texture, and whimsy belongs by the sea.
